S Club TV star Holly Willoughby relaxes by a pool in Los Angeles and reveals how she's been signed up by one of Hollywood's hottest acting agencies...

When S Club TV's Holly Willoughby flew out to Los Angeles this summer to star as Zoe in S Club 7's recent Artisic Differences TV special. Little did she know that being snapped up by the word famous William Morris actors agency was also on the cards! "My managenment company. 19. arranged an introduction for me and I was completely gobsmacked when the agency decided they'd like me on their books," Holly beams, "especially since I don't have any major acting experience!" Well, the S Club TV star is definitely in very good company as the agency also look after Jennifer Love Hewitt and George Clooney, among many other huge names. STAR exclusicely visited L.A. with Holly as she took on Hollywood...

Is this your first visit to L.A.?
I was actually here last September as part of a whistle-stop, three-month back-packing trop which also took in India, Malaysia, Hawaii and Australia. I did enjoy L.A., though I was with my boyfriend at the time and we stayed in a youth hostel on Venice Beach!
Well, when I first modeled I didn't have boobs at all. Now I'm more confident with myself and my body and with people seeing it.

And Now you're back over here in a super-plus Hollywood hotel.
I know. It's crazy how much my life has changed over the past few months. I've only been here a week and I've already filmed a TV special with S Club 7 and been signed up by William Morris. It's hard to take in everything.
When I was at school, having a food fight was something I wanted to do every day, so there fore doing it dressed in school uniform isn't unreasonable. But of course I know the connotations of me as a grown adult dressed in school uniform. So yes, I am aware of how that looks.

Had you done much acting before?
Not professionally no. I took a year out after my A Levels and, after taking a few months out to travel, I signed up with a model agency, Storm. It was through them I met up with Simon Fuller who manages S Club 7. A friend of mine was sent to a casting at his company, 19 Management, and asked me to come along for moral support. Anyway, I was asked to read a script as well. I had done a few TV commercials - including the latest Pretty Polly bras campaign - and always wanted to get into acting or TV,

Hollywood has to be one of the toughest places to make it as an actor...
Tell me about it! I was waiting to see one casting director and his staff were clearing out their filing cabinets. There were four huge boxes fill of actors' photos and CV's which were about to be binned. Talk about a reality check.

How was working with S Club 7 on their TV special?
They've all been really sweet to me. I fact I went shopping with the girls on Sunday and had dinner with Rachel one evening. I'd say I'm probably closest to Paul because nearly all of my scenes are with him (Holly plays Paul's ex-girlfriend Zoe), but all seven have been looking after me.

Were S Club 7 worried you might steal their limelight?
I hope not! I couldn't sing or dance even if I tried. S Club 7 and S Club TV are completely different - we're more about TV presenting and being ourselves, whereas S Club 7 are a massively successful pop and and TV actors. There's no rivalry between us.

So what else have you been up to out here?
Well, L. A. shopping heaven! I've bought loads of pairs of Earl jeans. I discovered an outlet where they were being sold for $30 - they're $160 in all the stores. What a find! I've also bought a Bedazzler, which is a machine for putting studs and rhinestones on your clothes, so if anyone leaves a jacket lying anywhere near me they're likely to find it covered in jewels!

L.A's famed for it's plastic surgery - Seen any interesting sights?
There've been a few fake boobs walking around the place! My take on plastic surgery is that if your doing it for yourself then fine. I would never consider having a facelift or having my boobs made bigger or anything, but if, when I was older, they ended up round my ankles I might have them put back in place.

How do the rest of S Club TV feel about you living the life in L.A.?
They think it's pretty jammy - especially since the weather's been so bad in England. But they know why I'm here - acting's my thing - and understand that they'll all have opportunities like this in the future. I just feel very lucky - in fact the first few months have been look all the way for me. I honestly keep having to pinch myself to see if it's all really happening - I'm completely covered in little bruises!
