Children's TV presenting can be a risky business - gunking celebs and donning comedy garb is the easy part, but of you let your halo slip, you can find yourself in trouble. Remember John Leslie and Richard Bacon?
Fortunately for Ministry of Mayhem presenter Holly Willoughby, when she let more than just her halo slip one Saturday morning, she received more er, titters, than trouble.
"My boob popped out my top during the show," explains Holly, "It was awful. I wish it hadn't happened, but what can you do? I thought the producers were going to go mad at me, but they were just like, 'Oh it had to happen to you, didn't it?!' It was an accident, I didn't plan it."
But despite the embarrassing saga - and lots of 'p*ss taking' text messages from her friends and a ticking off from her mum - Holly has emerged unharmed.
"Come on, it's nothing new, you see pictures of celebs flashing their boobs all then time when they fall out of cabs drunk," Holly says shrugging her shoulders. "I feel like I'm part of a special club now. When it happens to you, you join the long line of others who've done it, it's fine."
Holly, 24, has been presenting ITV1's morning show for two years. She has the customary credentials for a kids' TV presenter - pretty (she's a former teen model), seismic smile and bags of energy.
And with her husky voice she could read the Yellow Pages and still have you hanging on every word.
Holly lives up to her screen personality the day we met. And she seems more than happy to spend most of the night modeling party frocks.
"It's brilliant isn't it? You can't get better than this!" she says swishing around in her full skirt. "I've already bought my Christmas party dress. It's a red vintage dress I bought off eBay," she says miming the design of the dress on her curvy figure. "It's got black polka dots and I look a bit like a giant ladybird, but it's lovely. I bought it off a woman in the US for £22." Then Holly enthuses about her love of eBay and the pursuit of bargains - "I've bought things from far-out places like Albuquerque" - and how she snubs designer price tags for discount vintage. "For Jordan and Peter's wedding, I had a designer dress liked up from Harvey Nichols, but at the last minute I changed into a £16 frock from, yes... you guessed it, eBay" she laughs in a sing-song voice, and with just days until Christmas, Holly is already reveling in the party season.
"The next party I'm going to is fancy dress, in Brighton," says Holly. "I'm not sure what I'm going to go as, maybe a sexy Santa.. or an elf." she says.
Although she doesn't have an "office" party like us ordinary folk, Holly says the TV crew know how to through a bit of a do. "Last year's ministry party was hilarious. Eventful," she cackles. "We were filming on the 23rd December and didn't finish until late, so most of the team left to go home. Except I stayed with about 10 others and partied. It wasn't anywhere glamorous - it was the canteen. But we ended up drinking and eating the amount that was bought for 60 people. After a few drinks we raided the props cupboard for the spray cans. The canteen got trashed and the next day, we turned up sheepishly hung over and had to admit to out sins and clean up."
As Holly sits in the make-up artist's chair, she tucks her tanned legs under her folded arms - and it's easy to see why she's not short of male admirers. "I was voted number 71 in FHM's Sexiest Women Of The Year last year" she admits reluctantly, "Number 71 became my code name among my friends, yes, people took the p*ss a bit. I don't ming, I find it funny - and flattering. I just try not to think about it too much."
Holly's always played the single card when it comes to speaking about her love life, but today she reveals she's been seeing a "lovely" boyfriend - who remains nameless - for most of this year. Although it doesn't stop her ranting about her mate and fellow presenter Fearne Cotton, who got asked out on TV by Robbie Williams during Live 8. "I'm totally jealous of her," Holly screams, "I'd live to be asked out by Robbie. I can't wait for it to happen to me one day. Fearne gets too many men chatting her up - she should share them out."
Is there anyone in particular she's waiting to be propositioned by? "Matthew Macfayden who used to be in Spools. He's my ideal man. He's quite clean-cut, which is very unlike me. I must quite fancy spies..."
Over Christmas, Holly will spend time at her family home in Sussex with her parents and sister while her boyfriend celebrates with his family. "We'll meet on Boxing day," says Holly. "I haven't a clue what to buy him got Christmas, but I want to make it special." And as for Holly's Christmas wish list... "I've just moved flat and I'd like a glass boudoir-esque, dressing table, but they're a bit pricey."
This Christmas however Holly could be looking for something a lot simpler - a hangover cure. "I've never been hungover on morning TV - I couldn't think of anything worse than a headache in the middle of all those screaming kids.
Although this New Year could be a first, as I'll be out the night before knocking back the Jack Daniels and Colas. How many can I drink? On a big night out, I don't count."
Watch that halo Holly...
